Are you a current doctor, medic, firefighter, or police officer? If so, would you like the possibility of a free entry into the 100 mile race? We are looking for one person currently trained for emergency situations to help be another set of eyes on the course. We will waive your entry fee with the understanding that if you see something happen to a runner on the course, you stop your race and set aside your goals to help that runner and contact us immediately. On a loop course like this, the chances are very slim that anything would happen along the course, but runner safety is our top priority. If you would like to be considered for this, please contact Carolyn Robinson at firstname.lastname@example.org
The aid station will be fully stocked with traditional ultramarathon items. Foods will include various fruits, boiled salted potatoes, potato chips, rice crispy treats, candy, Oreos, and more! There will be water, soda, and sports drink supplied throughout the race along with S! Caps. If you have a specific food or drink preference, please feel free to bring it for yourself.
The course is a single loop paved course through Cessna Park. It is completely on a wide bike path, but please be aware that the general public could possibly be on the course. The start of each race will be a partial portion of the course to get it to the exact distance. Once you enter the finish chute on each lap, you will need to continue all the way out of the chute without stopping. This is to ensure that we get a proper lap count for you so that we can have the most accurate results possible. The Marathon is also a Boston Qualifier.
Due to scheduling issues, Ad Astra per Ultra 2016 will take place at Cessna Park on October 15th. Each distance will still be USATF certified and start at 8am
